The Feverish Library

Trained on Jorge Luis Borges' short story _The Library of Babel_, a Large Language Model navigates the vectorised terrain of its own vocabulary, endlessly iterating through its encoded linguistic space.

A control panel allows the human observer to manipulate this numerical translation of letters, destabilizing the fragile equilibrium of coherence and thus turning the AI itself into a "feverish Library, whose random volumes constantly threaten to transmogrify into others, so that they affirm all things, deny all things, and confound and confuse all things, like some mad and hallucinating deity." (Borges, 1941)
